Born on June 28, 1955, in Manila, Philippines, Dave carved a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and devotion.

A devoted husband to his cherished wife, Olivia A. Ortega, Dave was a steadfast pillar of strength and kindness in their lives. His two sons, Aaron Vince Ortega and Carvin Christian Ortega, along with his daughter, Raissa LaVyrle Ortega, were blessed to have him as their father, an unwavering source of encouragement and love. His legacy lives on through them, carrying forward the values he instilled in their hearts.

Dave- was a man who loved music and instruments; he played guitar, piano, harmonica, and bass, sharing his passion through heartfelt performances. The memories of him strumming his guitar and singing worship songs to the Lord resonate deeply with those who knew him. Each note he played seemed to wrap his family in warmth and joy, a testament to his generous spirit and faith.

A funeral service will take place on April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Shepherd Church, located at 19700 Rinaldi Street, Los Angeles, CA 91326, followed by a burial at San Fernando Mission Cemetery at 1:00 PM, situated at 11160 Stranwood Avenue, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
