Elias Lozano Loera, known affectionately as "Alacron," passed away on March 28, 2024, in Burbank, California. He was born on July 20, 1934, in Durango, Mexico. Elias led a remarkable life filled with hard work, compassion, and love for his family and friends.
In Durango, Mexico, Elias started his career as a taxi driver, helping countless people get to their destinations safely and with a friendly smile. Later on, he made the courageous decision to move to the United States and took on the role of a road paver in the bustling city of Los Angeles. For 20 years, he dedicated himself to this job, leaving a lasting mark on the streets he helped build.
Those who knew Elias will always remember him as a reliable and caring individual. His daughter Paula Lozano, sons Javier Lozano, Elias Jr. Lozano, and Hector Lozano will treasure memories of his unwavering support and kindness. He was also survived by his daughter Trini Lozano, Miroslava Lozano, sons Oswaldo Lozano and Jorge Lozano.
Elias cherished spending time with loved ones over a cold beer while engaging in conversations that ranged from the mundane to the profound. His proudest accomplishment was his big family; he took great joy in witnessing his children and grandchildren succeed in every aspect of their lives.
Friends recall Elias as the go-to person whenever help was needed - never hesitating to extend a helping hand to those in need. The memories shared among family members and friends will forever keep Elias's spirit alive.
A Mass in memory of Elias will be held at St. Elisabeth Church in Van Nuys on April 12, 2024. The services will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 14655 Kittridge Street.
Elias's legacy of hard work, generosity, and love will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched many lives with his warmth and compassion.
