On Monday, November 15, 2021, Joseph Rene Ramirez passed away at age 18.
On January 30th, 2003, Joseph was born at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California, to Gaudy Lemus and Enrique Ramirez. Joseph was a
fearless, adventure-seeking individual who loved skateboarding, worked on
his car and spent time with those he cared for. He strived for the highest integrity and led others through his ability to overcome anything. All his life, he has kept his family on their toes through his curiosity and fearlessness, no matter the situation. Joseph is the exemplar of a son, brother, and
friend.
Joseph was once asked, "What do you think the meaning of being alive is?"
His response was, "The meaning of being alive is to be with family and friends, being happy with what you do and how you feel. Life is challenging, but to be honest, I think that is what makes it worth living.
Joseph Ramirez will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his mother Gaudy, father Enrique, sister Jocelyn, and his
family.
He Only Takes the Best
God saw that he was getting tired,
a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer, And saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A Golden heart stopped beating, Hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes "the best.
